CHRISTMAS FAYRE – 12.00 noon – 14 November Please come along to the Fayre tomorrow to find bargains on the stalls, take part in various games and competitions, visit Father Christmas and be entertained by the choir, dancers, gymnasts and recorder players. Soup, baked potatoes, drinks etc. will be available. If you are able to help, please come into school from 9.30 am. onwards
CLASS ASSEMBLY – Wednesday 18 November – 10.15 a.m. Our assembly on Wednesday will be led by children in Mr. Farrington’s and Mrs. Barber’s classes. Parents/Carers of children in these classes are invited to join us at 10.15 am. and tea/coffee and biscuits will be served afterwards. |
REMINDERS Sponsored Walk – Reminder letters have been sent to those who have not yet brought in their money or advised us that they were unable to collect sponsors – please send in money with sponsor sheets on Monday 16 November, or indicate on the form if you were unable to obtain sponsors. As mentioned in the original letter, we only asked children to ask family and friends and not to go “door knocking”. PTFA Coasters - Please send in payment of £2.25 if you have kept the coaster designed by your child and not already sent in the money? Borth 2010 – Yr. 6 – Please send in your deposit of £20.00 by Monday 16 November so places can be booked at the Youth Hostel Bags 2 School – We have booked a collection date on Thursday 10 December, so please save clothing, bedding, shoes, bags & soft toys. Collection bags will be sent home beforehand – the heavier the bags the more funds are raised.

PTFA VISIT TO PANTOMIME – 8 January 2010
Letters have been sent home this week and tickets are selling fast. Please send in the form with payment if you would like tickets – all children must be accompanied by an adult. Cost is £13.50 per person to include ticket and transport. CHRISTMAS SHOE BOXES Thank you to everyone who sent in boxes. 50 were collected and are now on their way. CHILDREN IN NEED – Friday 20 November We are offering you the opportunity to support this appeal if you wish. Children may wear something spotted to school for a donation of £1.00. More details later. FUND RAISING – CHARITIES AND SCHOOL We realise there have been several events recently and that you are not always able to support everything - there is no obligation or pressure to do so, but we do like to give you the opportunity to donate to various causes if you so wish. FOUNDATION STAGE & KEY STAGE 1 Letters have been sent out this week detailing arrangements for collecting children at the end of the day and keeping them safe. ANTI BULLYING WEEK – 16 - 20 NOVEMBER Letters were sent home this week concerning Anti-Bullying Week, particularly cyber bullying, and the activities taking place in school to increase awareness and provide information to pupils and parents. COLLECTIONS Please send in any Morrison’s vouchers you have by Wednesday 18 November as the campaign has ended and we need to send off our order. We continue to collect Flora labels, Nestle Box Tops and The Times Book tokens We are no longer able to recycle plastic bottle tops, but are still collecting used postage stamps. SCHOOL LINK BROCHURES These were sent home this week. Please send in any orders with payment into school by Friday 20 November, when the order will be sent in order that books are received in time for Christmas.
