PTFA There will be a meeting in school on Tuesday 18 November to discuss arrangements for the Christmas Fayre. All parents are invited to come along.
SCHOOL UNIFORM We remind you that children should come to school dressed in correct school uniform as listed below. This includes wearing proper school shoes – not boots or high heels, which are dangerous on the playground. Shoes which look like trainers are also not school uniform. The school uniform as quoted in our school prospectus and agreed by the governors is as follows:-
Girls & Boys Grey/Black Trousers NOT JEANS OR FASHION TROUSERS Sensible School Shoes – Not trainers, boots, sling backs or open-toed sandals. The only permitted jewellery is a watch or one pair of stud earrings to be covered by headband or plasters for P.E.

PANTOMIME Letters have been sent home this week with details of the visit to see “Peter Pan” in Wolverhampton on Friday 9 January. The cost is £13.50 per person. Please return the form with payment as soon as possible as this is always popular and tickets sell very quickly.
BASKETBALL Letters have been sent home this week offering a taster session for basketball after school on Monday 17 November. This will continue if there is sufficient interest. Please return the form to Mrs. Humphrey.
GOVERNORS At the Governors’ meeting on Monday it was agreed that Mr. Mike Mullett, who is already on the Governing Body, will become a parent governor, leaving a vacancy for a co-opted Governor. The governors are now looking to fill this vacancy.
SCHOOL MEALS Next week will be week 3 of the menu.
ANTI-BULLYING WEEK Next week is Anti-Bullying week. This year’s theme is ‘Being Different, Belonging Together’ . Children will take part in class activities that will be focusing on how we behave towards each other and why. Wednesday is ‘Cool to be Kind’ day when children will be encouraged to make an extra effort to show kindness to their fellow classmates, friends and everyone at school.
FAMILY LITERACY COURSE In conjunction with the Learning Skills Council, we are beginning Family Learning Courses in school next term for children in Yr. R and their parents. A taster session is being held on Wednesday 14 January at 9.00 am. until 11.00 am. and there will be ten further sessions on Wednesday mornings until the end of the Spring Term. Flyers and information booklets will be sent home with the children.
BREAKFAST CLUB A reminder that breakfast club is open every morning from 8.00 am. until the start of school at 8.55 am. The charge is only £2.50, which includes cereals, toast, yoghurt etc. and a drink. Please ring to book a place, or just arrive at school if you have a problem one morning.
We ask that children do not arrive at school before 8.40 am. and if your child needs to arrive before that time, please consider using the breakfast club.
